I'm nearly 5 months post op and my boobs are saggy and flat. I started off a b/c cup my surgeon said I did not need a lift. I had 590cc UHP corse silk surface unders. My skin does not hang over my implant but I can feel my implant at the bottom of my breast. Is my pocket to big? My skin feels nice and firm and was firm pre op but I'm not happy with how much they are now sagging and the lack of projection for UHP and lack of upper pole.
Answer: BA results Dear Billie32,Implant profile is a very important consideration. Many patients wrongly assume that the higher the profile the better. The truth is, the more profile (or projection/height) and implant has, the narrower its base has to become. This has several problematic consequences. The first is that the patient loses width and therefor cleavage of the breast. The second is the breast becomes more narrow and pendulous, often falling lateral and onto the side of the chest, and third, high profile implants have a higher risk of bottoming out because they exert more pressure on the inframammary fold than moderate profile implants. High profile implants do have a role in symmastia repair (when I need to narrow the basewidth) but otherwise I try to avoid them. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Breast implants Hello, You may have expected too much from the implants. It is normal to feel implants at the bottom of the breast in many patients as it is only covered by thin skin and some breast tissue. Your nipple position is low and was likely that way prior to surgery. That leads me to believe you likely require a breast lift in addition to the implants being a bit high. Over dissection of the pocket does not give rise to the things you have mentioned. Best of luck.

Answer: Sagging after Breast Augmentation Thanks so much for reaching out. It’s hard to say without an exam and evaluating your preoperative photos. However it looks like your implants need to fill out the lower pole of your breasts more. You may need to work on downward massaging. I would suggest talking to your plastic surgeon in seeing what they have to say.I hope this helps :)

Answer: Sagging after breast implants Without pre-op photos, it is more difficult to evaluate sagging after large implants. However, 5 months out, they should be fairly settled and you do have some sagging present.Re-evaluation by your plastic surgeon is recommended to discuss your options and expectations. A breast lift may be indicated.
