It is only visible where the cleavage meets between my breasts but it leaves me feeling like my breasts don’t look natural and even unnatural looking compared to a normal successful BA. Others have noticed it as well and had concerns. Also certain movements like pushing the breasts together enhance the ridges. Please let me know if this is something my PS did or if it fixable. When I confronted her about it, she suggested fillers, so I am considering that but wanted second opinions. Thank you.
Answer: Questions about my cleavage. Dear Lindsey, Based on your photographs, I believe you have a spectacular Result after your breast augmentation. The problem with your cleavage, has to do with your pectoral muscle. The depressions that you visualize on your photos are due to the muscle insertion. I don’t believe this can be improved surgical result after your breast augmentation. The problem with your cleavage, has to do with your pectoral muscle. The depressions that you visualize on your photos are due to the muscle insertion. I don’t believe this can be improved surgically. In fact, surgery might make things worse. A dermal filler injections seems like an obvious choice. However, such a treatment may only last a year or two. You should carefully discuss all your options with your plastic surgeon, but at the same time avoid trying to be too confrontational. I believe your doctor has done a great job despite the limitations with your anatomy. Best wishes, Dr. Aldo

Answer: I’m 10 months out from a breast augmentation and there are ridges in my cleavage I am sorry to see your disappointment after breast augmentation. Overall you have a beautiful result. The depression that you see is a band of the muscle that covers the breast implant.Correction would require a surgical procedure to release the band. That is not a minor undertaking. Opening up the implant pocket might increase your chances of a capsular contracture later on.I would wait at least a full year before considering revision. If the implants drop more the depression may be less noticeable. If you do decide to have a revision be sure your surgeon places you on a course of Accolate for 3 months to reduce the risk of capsular contracture.

Answer: Indentation at cleavage following breast augmentation Hi and welcome to our forum! During the procedure of breast augmentation, a pocket is created into which the implant is inserted. Intraoperative swelling obscures the margins of the pocket somewhat. If a residual band of tissue remains adherent, it may be camouflaged. As the swelling decreased, the irregularity became evident. As the indentation is at the superior aspect of the breast, it may be noticeable in certain types of clothing. Under these circumstances, a revision may be required. 15% of cosmetic procedures require a secondary touchup. I don't recommend fillers as they are short lived, and the indentation will return. I would again approach your surgeon regarding this problem. If you feel you are getting the wrong answers, it may be wise to seek a second opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes...
