Does a ruptured saline implant move around a lot or downwards? Mine was placed behind the muscle

What you are experiencing is the saline shell which has folded on to it self and is forming an edge.  The edge of the implant shell is what you are likely feeling and this does move around and can over time cause some discomfort.No bra is going to keep the shell from moving and there is no harm with the shell moving around.  The shell wont migrate, it simply stays in the implant pocket.Hope that helps.

after rupture could move around if a smooth surfaced product is used.  If the shell points and you can feel a sharp edge only in one spot and the skin changes color of that spot, you must see your surgeon.  You can have your shells removed under local to minimize any risks with your pregnancy or you can keep them and 'wait and see'.  Your surgeon is the best resource for your questions and concerns since your surgeon can also examine you at the same time.

Hello and thank you for your question.  The bump you are feeling are the folded edges of the saline implant shell.  This is normal and may change in how you are feeling it over time.  There is nothing you need to do to support the implant and the implant shell will stay in the original pocket, it just may shift around.  Hang in there and good luck with the pregnancy!

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy. I am sorry that you have experienced a deflation. It is best to delay implant replacement until breast involution is complete following delivery. No care of the ruptured implant is required, unless you require padding to prevent irritation from the implant ridges. The ridges may move around within the pocket. The implant will remain intact until replacement.

If it's saline and it's ruptured then all that's left is the shell of the implant. It folds on itself due to deflation and the firmness of the folds and wrinkles can be felt throughout the breast. Yes, it can move around. There is no supportive bra that will prevent this from happening. But, there is no harm either. Hope this helps.
