Will Botox lift my medial brow?

Question

I've seen some before/after pictures where the medial brow has been raised, making the eyes look more open. Where will the botox be injected to create a medial brow lift along with the lateral?

The big problem with lifting this area is that so many treatments involve weakening the forehead muscles. These are the major lifters for the eyebrows.  Study my Microdroplet Lift technique.  This only treats along the eyebrow and leaves the forehead alone.

In order to get a medial brow lift the glabella is injected- usually 3-5 injection sites to produce a more lifted appearance.

Thank you for sharing your question.  With paralysis of the corrugators and procerus muscles the tendency to draw the inner eyebrows down and in towards the nose is removed and a slight elevation may be seen.  Hope this helps.

The glabellar complex (procerus and corrugator supercilii muscles) should be injected and if done correctly will give a slight raise to the medial eyebrows opening the aperture of the eye.  However, so many times I see injectors inject this area incorrectly which can result in drop of the medial eyebrows.  Key is to find someone who knows what they are doing.  The results depend on it.  Best of luck!

Thank you for your question Minna2442. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with
facial expression. To lift the medial brow Botox is placed between the brows. To lift the lateral brow Botox is placed in the corners of the brows. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

An experienced injector will know that in order to get the medial brow to lift the "glabellar complex" will need to be properly injected to achieve the result you desire. In certain individuals the depressor supercilli will also be injected and can help. In person evaluation is a must in order to obtain the results you desire, see an expert. Be well.

A usual glabellar injection should raise the medial brow. However if the medial corrugators are injected too high, the frontalis in this area will be also affected and lead to drooping of the medial brow. In cases which patients have low medial brows, this injection must be kept low and I also inject the depressor supercilii.

Thank you for your question.  Botox is a neuromodulator - it works by temporarily weakening targeted muscle groups to prevent repeated movement that causes expression lines.  Botox can be used to subtly lift the eyebrows by weakening the muscles that work to depress and lower the brows - a medial brow lift involves weakening the procerus and corrugator muscles.  That said, many novice injectors often treat this area incorrectly, and inadvertently drop the medial brow by injecting the muscles that actually lift the brow instead.  I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon.  Best of luck!
