I had my eye bags removed 4 years ago and had them filled with fat at the same time. Today it looks terrible and it is noticed by many. Is there a way to fix this ? Would lipofilling again help or make it worse? Thanks for your support.
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: What you should know about facial fat transfers Thank you for your question and photo. Since results from facial fat transfers generally last for three years or more, it appears you achieved favorable longevity from your previous transfer. Restoring volume in this area with another transfer may the results you’re looking for and create a smooth transition below the lower eyelid. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to review your treatment history and determine the best approach to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Removal of fat lumps Priority should be given to removal of fat lumps. Both of them can be approached using existing eyelid scars and entirely removed. Only after that, a consideration should be given to new fat frafting but definitely not in such a superficial plane. Hope this helps.

Answer: Facial fat transfer It sounds like you may have experienced some complications or changes to the fat grafting that was done during your previous procedure. In general, fat grafting can be an effective way to restore volume to the under-eye area and improve the appearance of under-eye bags. It's possible that a revision procedure may be able to help correct the issue you're experiencing. However, it's important to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has experience with facial fat grafting and revision procedures. They can evaluate your individual case, discuss your goals and expectations, and recommend the best course of action for achieving your desired results. They can also discuss the potential risks and complications of a revision procedure and help you determine whether it's a good option for you. Best of luck !

Answer: Lower eyelid surgery To make an accurate assessment of the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure, we need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took. I think the first step is to get rid of, the uneven contour most likely related to fat grafting. Facial fat grafting is inherently, unpredictable and precise and unforgiving. Most likely a direct open excision with your mobile areas of excessive fullness. Should make a big improvement. After that if you need volume restoration, I suggest you work with fillers only. Fillers unlike fat transfer are highly predictable very consistent and forgiving. Provider selection is paramount and getting consistent quality results. I suggest patients start the process by having at least five in person consultations. Do I need to consultation ask you to provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures. Fed transfer always make sure after pictures were taken 3 to 6 months after surgery. Early fat transfer pictures can look very impressive. I do not represent final results. Fat transfer around the orbits is very challenging work and the chance of having undesirable outcomes is high. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
