Is it possible to have the facial fat transfer to the upper cheek area removed. Really unhappy with results, it has been 8 years and just so tired of the overfilled look of my cheeks as I'm aging.
Answer: Fat transfer removal Yes, it is possible to have facial fat transfer to the upper cheek area removed. This procedure is called fat transfer removal or fat grafting removal. The process involves removing the excess fat from the cheeks using a variety of techniques, such as liposuction or surgical excision. The exact method used will depend on the individual case and the amount of fat that needs to be removed. It's important to consult with a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon who specializes in facial procedures to determine the best course of action for your specific needs. They will be able to evaluate your individual case, discuss your concerns and goals, and recommend the most appropriate treatment options. Keep in mind that any facial procedure carries some risk, and you should discuss these risks with your surgeon before proceeding. It's also important to have realistic expectations for the outcome of the procedure, as results may vary depending on individual factors such as skin quality and age. I hope this helps, best of luck!

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Previous facial fat transfer Removing previously grafted fat in the face can be difficult, especially if the fat was grafted into tissues, like muscles or glands. Attempt at Liposuction cannot differentiates native dad versus grafted fat, and may or may not be successful or give the desired results. Sometimes, direct open excision is needed, which can potentially leave scars. Sometimes, adding more volume to compensate and create better, harmony and balance is needed. The difficulty of removing previously grafted fat is one of the main reasons I recommend patients avoid facial fat, transfer, testing with fillers, which are inherently, more precise, more predictable, and far more forgiving, if patients don’t like the outcome.
