You have developed a small dog ear and that will only be corrected extending the incision 1-2 inches back and a tiny bit of liposuction. Be encouraged!!You will look awesome after. Dr. Cárdenas
Hello @daz100, thank you for your question. It is important to remember that we aren't completely equal on both sides; there are always some differences that may or may not be noticeable. It is wise to keep this in mind when setting expectations and planning your surgery.A revision or non-surgical treatment may improve the volume in the area. For more information and recommendations, it is prudent to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.
Dear daz100,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Unfortunately, it is not possible to see your scar clearly on this photo! It looks that you have a small asymmetry due to fat content, which can be treated with limited liposuction. Again, I can not comment on scar itself since it is not possible to see it. Good luck.
A small correction to your right side can be performed to improve symmetry. The excess skin can be removed along with a little liposuction if needed. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.
The scar may need to be extended to pick up some extra skin going around to the back. Please discuss this with your surgeon.
The human body is highly asymmetrical and your asymmetry was most likely present before surgery. Anytime you ask plastic surgeons to make an assessment on the outcome of a procedure you should include before and after pictures. If you don’t have proper before and after pictures then ask the surgeon who did your procedure to forward the ones they took. The scar is not visible in your picture which tells me it’s either covered by your clothing or else you healed so well it can’t be seen in this resolution picture.Tell me tuck is not aimed at correcting a symmetry nor should it correct it. Asymmetry is normal and present on everyone. People are either left-handed or right handed. Both the face and body are highly asymmetrical. All internal organs are asymmetrical as well.Having surgery for a symmetry is not a good idea. Nobody seems to notice asymmetry other than individuals looking at their own.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
I would suggest first being checked for food allergies. Food allergies do cause the colon to expand which can be painful against a tight abdomen. If you do have allergies, then stay away from those foods.
Your bellybutton is high on your before pictures. It does not move during the procedure and your belly button is in the exact same location. Because you have a high belly button your surgeon could not clear all the skin and this is why you have the small vertical scar in the middle of your main...
Hi NatyMiami,Absolutely possible. If you have residual excess skin and fat in the flanks and lower back after a tummy tuck, it is still possible to remove. Talk with your surgeon about a prone (face down) approach that continues your tummy tuck scar around to the lower back. Depending on your...
