Constant swelling & pain 2 years post TT/MR - would removing the MR sutures help?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

I would suggest first being checked for food allergies. Food allergies do cause the colon to expand which can be painful against a tight abdomen. If you do have allergies, then stay away from those foods.

A physical exam would aid in properly answering your query. It is unusual to have intermittent swelling above your umbilicus unless it occurs after eating. If this is the case, then it is the internal pressure pushing out and the lack of tension on the upper abdominal muscle repair. Pain may be due to either sutures being too tight or a nerve caught in the suture or scar tissue.
What type of pain do you suffer from (description-burning, tearing, dull, ache, cramping etc.)?

I would like to say that revising the sutures would help, but more information is necessary.
