You do not have tubular breasts but have low ptotic breasts. The technique I recommend is a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers or small implants can be placed totally submuscular.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Hello,It appears that you have breast ptosis(droop) and would benefit from a breast lift and balancing fat grafting(to smaller side) for symmetry or for added volume on both sides. Your cleavage is a bit widened which can appear to mimic a tubular anatomy. I like to use fat grafting in this region to enhance the cleavage for a softer, balanced appearance if desired.Implants will offer more round, stable volume and upper pole fullness. If you are happy with your size within a supportive bra, a lift alone would be a good option (+/- cleavage fat grafts).I recommend visiting a Board Certified, experienced Plastic Surgeon to better guide you after a thorough exam and discussion of your goals.Warm regards,Dr. Pedy GanchiVillage Plastic Surgery
You have a distinct breast fold and no constriction of tissue around your nipples, therefore you don’t appear to have tubular breasts. If you’d like perkier, rounder breasts, then all you would need is a breast lift. If you’d like to increase your breast size, then implants would be recommended.
It is impossible to conclude whether you have true tuberous breasts (which manifests in numerous forms and grades of complexity) based on these photos. In any case you would need breast lift and reduction of large areolas plus augmentation with implants. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in breast surgery is recommended. Good luck.
I don’t consider your breasts to be tubular. I would recommend a lift. An implant can be placed as well for upper fullness.
Good morning,You do have the tuberous characteristic of a narrow breast base and a wide gap, in which case I would recommend a full anchor type breast lift and submuscular augmentation with saline or silicone gel implants, depending on your preference. We would figure out the exact size and profile when I measure your chest and we review photos together!
Thank you for your question and photos. An examination in person would be required to be definitive with an opinion and recommendations, however from your photos alone it appears that even though your breasts are "normal" in that many women have breasts that appear similar to yours, your breasts indeed have more of an element of droop than you wish, and your areolae are wider than optimal. The best solution starts with a breast lift, and making your breasts fuller and larger can be accomplished either with fat grafting, or breast implants, or a combination of both. As a rule, the "augmentation" that can be accomplished with fat grafting alone is far less, and it may require multiple sessions, each with a separate anesthesia. Do your research, and select a board certified plastic surgeon whose results appeal to you, based on his or her Before and After gallery. Best of luck to you.
Dear Mollymua92,tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Based on the submitted photos you will have the best results from a lift with implants. The lift will remove excess skin and raise the position of the nipple. The implants will add volume and improve overall shape. The next step is to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation.
Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note that your breasts are tubular in shape, the distance from the top of the breast bone to the nipples is increased, the distance from nipple to the fold beneath the breasts is increased, there is significant asymmetry but with significant volume, the breasts demonstrate significant sag, the areolae are enlarged, and the breasts are widely set. You require a full pattern lift of the smaller breast and reduction of the larger breast with bilateral areolar reduction. The decision for or against implants depends upon your goals. If you wish to be somewhat larger than your smaller breast, fat grafting is a satisfactory plan. If you wish a significant increase in size, an implant would be required.Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion.Best wishes...
Hi and welcome to our forum!Steroid administration is a double edged sword. It reduces swelling by suppressing the normal inflammatory response to the "injury" caused by the procedure. This can unfortunately potentially lead to an increased incidence of infection or cause wound healing problems,...
Placing the implant behind the muscle does give better coverage and support, but does tend to flatten somewhat. Some like to go up 25-30 cc's to accommodate this. However, the muscle also now is contributing to the breast size.
In my honest opinion, if you lined up ten women, five with mentor and five with motiva and asked plastic surgeons which was which, they wouldn't be able to tell. They are both good brands. Go with whichever implant your surgeon suggests would be the best fit for your body. Good luck
