Does anyone have photos of before and after the Sientra 160 cc implants? I am trying to decide if these will be too small. Will submuscular position reduce the projection of the implant? Thank you!
Answer: Breasts Placing the implant behind the muscle does give better coverage and support, but does tend to flatten somewhat. Some like to go up 25-30 cc's to accommodate this. However, the muscle also now is contributing to the breast size.

Answer: The Big Myth One of the mainstays for women preparing for breast augmentation is to look at other women/women's photos with a known implant size/shape/projection, and presume that they would look similar with that same implant. This is completely erroneous, and frequently leads to wrong size surgery. Using purpose built sizers in the office prior to surgery will give a patient a much better idea of the right size implant for their body. The Sientra 160 is a low profile device to begin with, and whether above of below the muscle, has minimal projection.

Answer: Augmentation with 160 ml implants Placement of the implant underneath the muscle would slightly decrease projection in comparison to placement above the muscle. This is very small implant and differences may be unnoticeable, however. Good luck.

Answer: Implant size Dear sandiego1234, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Sientra 160 CC Implants - will submuscular position reduce the projection of the implant? It is my opinion that more often than not, the placement of implants in the partial submuscular plane can soften the look especially in the upper portion of the breast and create a very beautiful result.
