I am worried for my tip two years after rhinoplasty - abnormal color. Should I wait longer for revision? (Photo)

I had my 3rd rhinoplasty on January of 2021. I need a new revision for my tip answer nostrils but my skin color looks so abnormal at the tip. I have already waited for 2 years but it won’t change. I tried even massaging it and it has become softer but the color is still abnormal. Do you think I have to wait more for my revision ?

Abnormal color discoloration of your nasal skin after three rhinoplasty surgeries could mean that you may have vascular compromise of your nose. I am unaware of any preoperative test to determine whether or not someone would achieve necrosis after too many rhinoplasties. All of this said, a single photograph of the base of your nose does not substitute for an examination. Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a revision rhinoplasty to help address your nostril asymmetry. The color may not improve but it is possible to improve over time. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
