Would liposuction (I’m thinking vaser) be enough to give me a more defined chin? I don’t mind having a small chin but just hate the fat causing a double chin effect. I’m currently about 20lbs over my goal weight but I still have this chin fat even when I’m underweight. I’d consider chin filler later on to enhance the effect but initially don’t want to do anything more major than lipo.
Answer: Chin Liposuction can be a great way to define the chin and jawline. Pair with Morpheus8 and ultherapy for best results. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Is Liposuction Enough for a More Defined Chin? Liposuction, including VASER liposuction, can be an effective way to reduce excess fat under the chin and improve definition. Since you mentioned that you have had this chin fat even at a lower weight, it suggests that it may be due to genetics rather than just excess weight. Liposuction alone can create a more contoured look, but its effectiveness depends on factors such as skin elasticity. If your skin has good elasticity, it should retract well after fat removal, leaving a smoother, more defined contour. However, if your skin is loose or lacks elasticity, additional treatments such as radiofrequency skin tightening or a surgical neck lift might be needed for optimal results. If you’re open to chin filler in the future, that can further enhance projection and definition, complementing the results of liposuction. Consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon can help determine the best approach based on your specific anatomy and goals.

Answer: Perhaps, neck liposuction and a chin implant. Based on your photos, you appear to be young, along with excess neck fat, and an under projected shin appearance. Chin implant surgery, combined with neck liposuction surgery, can provide dramatic Improvement in somebody's neck, and jawline appearance. Please consider meeting with a reputable facial plastic surgeon so you could see what might be best for you moving forward. Thank you for this question! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Chin Liposuction Hello, and thank you for your question. You would absolutely benefit from liposuction of the chin and neck area. Because it also appears you have some loose skin in the area as well, adding on a skin tightening laser such as Renuvion would enhance your results. These procedures can be done under local anesthetic, and the downtime is relatively minimal. Please make sure that this is performed by a Board Certified plastic surgeon. Good luck to you!
