How subtle can a nose job be? Can just the tip from the profile be reduced? (Photos)

49 years old, ofamily and my chidren have the nose...but i want a subtle tip reduction at same time as lower face and neck lift. I like my nose from the front i just want the tip on profile to be reduced. What technuque can achieve this if it can be done?

It is very difficult to appreciate you facial balance based on these photos. It appears that conservative full nose rhinoplasty would be a better solution than tip elevation, shaping and rotation? In order to improve profile harmony chin augmentation should be considered. Good luck.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. Maneuvers for your surgery would include dorsal hump reduction, tip refinement, nasal tip deprojection, tip elevation, among other maneuvers. Make sure you are going to a surgeon with hundreds of long-term before and after pictures on their website with standardized lighting and standardized backgrounds. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

From your side view photograph, you have a weak chin, which makes your nose look more dominant. I recommend you consider a chin implant. This is done through an intra-oral approach so there are no external scars. After this, you can assess your profile. You may not need a rhinoplasty if the chin is corrected. However, if you want a rhinoplasty then the chin implant and nose can be done together.

The nasal tip can be reduced by itself without effecting any other part of the nose. This can be done alone or at the same time as the lower facelift/neck lift. A lot of times tip-plasty can be done without full anesthesia. You can do it separately and later proceed with the facelift.

There are a few things to think about: 
How will the changes I want to my tip effect the appearance of my entire nose? Sometimes only addressing one area is a good idea; sometimes it becomes a good idea to address other areas so it looks similar. For example, if one area is made smaller, it potentially can make the other (untouched) areas or features of your nose appear bigger--so it makes sense to keep everything proportionate and address the other areas. 
Performing a subtle rhinoplasty requires restraint and experience. It also may or may not be "subtle." People may still notice. I would recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. I would encourage you to look at their long term before and afters and see if their results are similar to what you are looking for.
