Swelling 1.5 years after rhinoplasty - Is it too late for steroid injections?

I got rhinoplasty 1.5 years ago, although I have healed my nose still differentiates and swells quite a bit. Do you think a steroid shot will help ease the swelling or is too late for me to get it.

Can steroid injection be used 1.5 years after rhinoplasty? There is no limit to how far out from rhinoplasty surgery a steroid injection can be used. Mini surgeons will not use steroid before a certain timeframe but there is no limit to how long after the surgery the steroid injection could be used. Whether it would benefit your own particular case could only be determined during an in person consultation.

The ideal time to use steroid concoctions is during the healing process. However, you can still get quite a bit of softening after the year mark as well. Go to a rhinoplasty specialist and they should be able to help you. It is usually a series of shots with about 6-8 weeks in between treatments. My patients get between 2-4 injections.
