I had a breast lift with silicone implants placed under the muscle 250cc (r) 200cc (L). I feel like they aren’t right. I have no upper breast fullness and my areola is very big, that they even stick out of the top of bras i wear. Is this bottoming out? Do i need a revision? If so what happens do i need new implants? Can i go bigger in size or do i have to go smaller than i already am?
Answer: Breasts Please submit a photo with the camera at the same level as your breasts instead above your breasts. You might have too much fullness inferiorly which can be revised. Going larger will add more volume. Women whose natural breasts sit low on their chest will never have upper breast fullness.

Answer: Revision You will need a revision and possibly a revision of the breast lift as well. The pockets need to be made higher and the inframammary pockets needs to be reinforced with sutures or mesh. I would not recommend larger implants as this will add more weight and will bottom out. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast surgery assessment Your picture is in sufficient to make a quality assessment. To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. If you’re going to take your own pictures, use the time on your camera or ask someone to take the picture for you. I’m guessing your nipple position is high in your breast, but we can’t really tell from this angle. Follow up with your provider or schedule if you in person second opinion consultations with other plastic surgeons in your community. For second opinion consultations come prepared bringing with you a complete set of proper before and after pictures and a copy of your previous operative report. These are all part of your medical record that you can request from your current provider at any time. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
