I had a scarless lip-lift 16 months ago, where the incisions were done inside my top lip. I had swelling for weeks, with the worst of it concentrated in the middle part of my top lip. My surgeon performed 2 rounds of injections to try and reduce the swelling, which didn’t work. He then cut away more skin inside my top lip, but I am still left with a ‘bubble’ in the middle of my top lip, which hides my teeth when I smile. Should I consider surgical removal of this seroma?

Answer: Persistent Swelling After Scarless Lip Lift: Treatment Options and Considerations
A lip lift can only be assessed with your mouth slightly open, but at rest. However, there is a good chance that you will benefit from this. I do many many lip lifts, and we also have good experience with microcoring (Ellacor). Both can be used. The microcoring will provide a more modest lift...
To achieve more upper teeth show, the following procedures might be considered:
1. Lip Lowering/Reverse Vestibuloplasty: This procedure involves lowering the upper lip to cover less of the teeth. It is typically performed on patients with a high lip line or 'gummy smile'.
2. Orthognathic...
It is possible to extend the lip lift laterally. The tissue taken from the outside of the nose-face junction can be used as a flap to lay inside the alar incision. This will widen the nostrils while pulling them outward more laterally from the skin excision.
