Filler before Lip Lift (not lip filler)?

Question

Hello, I am booked in for a lip lift surgery in a couple of months. This week, I am booked in for under eye (Tear Trough) filler. I currently have no filler in my face. Is it better that I do not have the under eye filler until after my lip lift surgery? Could I ruin the lip lift surgery booked in for two months time? Thx

you can have under eye filler and you'll be fine during the liplift surgery, no worriesbut you shoul not have lip fillers , good luck

Hello, hope you are well. If I were your surgeon, I would have no problem with you getting the tear trough filler prior to your lip lift surgery. It is good that you are being cautious and you can always contact your surgeon's office for questions like this. Good luck!

It is great that you are taking precautions. You should be ok to have undereye filler. Lip lift swelling can be dramatic but is mostly localized to the central lower face. The undereye area is a generally sensitive area for swelling due to poor lymphatics, so regardless of any planned surgery, care should be taken not to overfill this area. I typically fill less than is needed for an immediate result, then allow the filler to hydrate and settle in for a few weeks. In most cases this is enough and looks even better with time. This avoids the overfilled swollen appearance. That is one of the tricks to good under eye filler. Hope that helps!
