I have an Otoplasty surgery 7 months ago and I am not happy with the way my antihelix looks like. Is there too much cartilage left? Can it be fixed somehow?

It appears that when they folded the antihelix, this resulted in an abnormal re-positioning of it anteriorly. You may benefit from cartilage removal to correct the linear area to a more curvilinear shape.

A revision of your otoplasty is possible.  It does not appear that you have too much cartilage left in your antihelix, however, it may be that the anti-helix was just not bent into the correct position by the suturing of the cartilage. Additional suturing may be required to give the proper shape and contour to your hand to helix.   If possible, it would be important to return to the original surgeon as they know exactly what was done and be in the best position to modify it.  Best wishes.

It is possible to reduce the prominence of your antihelix in a revision surgery. It would be a good idea to return to your surgeon to discuss your concerns.

If you feel like one of your ears is sticking out too far after otoplasty, or if you are dissatisfied with the appearance of your antihelical fold, you should bring these concerns to the attention of your surgeon, while reviewing before and after photos. Has your ear drifted away from your head over the months that followed? Or has your ear always looked as it does now, except now less swollen? Did your doctor utilize permanent sutures or dissolvable sutures? Up close photos of difficult to interpret. In that regard, please visit your surgeon for a follow-up, or please visit another reputable facial plastic surgeon for a second opinion. I hope this helps, and I wish you well moving forward!
