After God, Dr. Sherman and his team saved my life. I went into sepsis, and developed an abscess after lipo, and that doctor abandoned me. Dr. Sherman was so accessible, he provided me his cell phone #. From his staff, to his expertise and patience, I am ever so grateful. I recommend him to all of my friends and colleagues. Thank you for all that you do. I am a nurse, and I was very impressed with his care.
I cannot possibly put into words how positive my experience has been with Dr. Sherman and his staff from start to finish. I had first heard about him through a family friend who had highly recommended him for a family member's upcoming facelift (all of which turned out beautifully - she couldn't be more pleased).I had pursued a consultation with him with regards to my nose. It was clear from my first meeting with him just how much of an expert and professional he was - I felt completely comfortable and relaxed from start to finish while he assessed the inside / outside of my nose, and brought up a number of structural things I had never been aware of previously (and that no other doctor had mentioned, despite my having seen some of the top NYC ENT docs). Once I scheduled surgery, his staff made sure I had all the info possible I needed and was aware of any/all risks and preparations I needed to make. I felt very prepared and in the hands of a true expert from start to finish. The surgery itself went beautifully, and I could notice how much of an improvement was made all around even on Day 1. I am so excited by how everything is healing and looking (and it's still early on in my recovery!) and couldn't be more thrilled with my nose both aesthetically and structurally - it truly is a work of art. My sore throat and sinus issues are disappearing by the day, and I know they'll only improve from here. Dr. Sherman is truly the best surgeon I could've asked for and am SO grateful for him and his incredibly kind staff for getting me through this entire process, which I know can be incredibly anxiety-provoking for some people. I'd recommend him to anyone - he's an artist, a professional, and incredibly kind and generous with his time. Don't hesitate to book an appointment with him!! You won't regret it.
Great Experience From the moment I entered Dr. Sherman's facility through the completion of my procedure he was truly a top notch professional. Dr Sherman followed up the same day with a phone call and an email to see how I felt. Dr Sherman together with his very organized staff made it a great experience.
I am forever grateful to Dr. Sherman. My first contact with Dr. Sherman was 7 years ago when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. He was the only clinician that helped me make the tough decisions and told me the reality of reconstruction after radiation. He helped me decide to do a bilateral mastectomy instead of a lumpectomy and then was the plastic surgeon that did the reconstruction. He worked closely with breast surgeon and rearranged his schedule to accommodate surgery. BTW the breast that was electively removed had precancerous lesions and I would have been back in OR. I returned to Dr. Sherman to fix my nose that I broke in high school and liposuction on my thighs recently. He again was super. I wear glasses all the time and the crooked nose was hurting wearing the glasses. Problem solved, can now wear glasses and they sit straight on my face, devaiated septum fixed and have my nose back like before the break. Also Dr. Sherman is a perfectionist. I am happy with liposuction but he feels it can be better so may go for another round. Staff is wonderful. Thank you!!
I had had nasal trauma which brought on a cycle of swelling , trouble breathing and disformity. We live in a image conscience society. I was super insecure up until this morning. Yesterday I received a septoplasty with spreader grafts from Sherman MD. I have minimal typical bruising but it was worth it. Updated on 13 Jul 2016: Just came from my post op check up and my nose is healthy breathing better I found out he didn't put the grafts. I wasn't a good candidate due to the extent of my trauma. Just a few stitch sites all work was done through my nostrils. I'm pleased esthetically which is a plus on top of breathing phenomenally. Ive been experiencing slight migraines the last three days. Updated on 29 Dec 2016: Was super hard to understand why he thought he did surgery on my cheek .... My nose still swells a bit with dry blood I still see deviation.. I was told I would be receiving nose grafts instead he placed a piece of cartilage on bridge....... My breathing is 50% better. With alternative congestion slight relief with nasal spray. I advise don't go to sleep during surgery if possible. Just in case there are last minute decisions you may input. Still kinda worth it but my nose still feels vulnerable & unstable.
I fell, fracturing and displacing my cheek bone. The operation would put the cheek bone in the original position and add plates. After the surgery, it took me about a week to regain my normal energy. I went back to work after 10 days. I am to sleep with an airline pillow until 4 weeks after the operation to be sure I do not lean on the injury. Please see below for my discussion of Dr. Sherman. I highly recommend Dr. Sherman for anyone who needs plastic or reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Sherman reconstructed my maxilla (cheek bone) and orbital (eye socket). He helped me think clearly through making a very touch decision of whether or not to get the surgery. Dr. Sherman performed the surgery as clean and exact as any surgeon possibly could have, without adding a single scar to my face that I did not already have. I had three titanium plates and 13 screws installed. The moment I woke up from the surgery, I had regained feeling in parts of my face I did not have, and was thankful for Dr. Sherman's expertise. Two weeks later, after the swelling went down, I was feeling my face and moving my jaw so precisely, I thought "Wow. Dr. Sherman absolutely skilled it."
I spent quite a bit of time discussing my procedure with Dr. Sherman and his nurse. They knew exactly what I wanted and met with me several times presurgery and as well as post op. The Dr. and his staff could not have been more caring and professional. Dr. Sherman, although very busy, never rushed me and took the time to get to know me and what I wanted from the surgery. After seeing his work, I know that he is a perfectionist. I would highly recommend Dr. Sherman
I decided that I wanted to have my breasts done. I researched top plastic surgeons in NYC and narrowed it down between two surgeons. I chose Dr. John Sherman on Fifth Avenue & never regretted my decision. I met with him a couple of times....he is very knowledgeable and his staff is very professional. A one -stop shop - all of the pictures / procedures /visits are done in that office. Highly recommend Dr. John Sherman - I Love my breasts!
This is a man who knows his field. He is honest about what he can deliver, and because of his talent, he can deliver a lot. He has actually written textbooks on plastic surgery that other doctors learn from. His gentle and professional staff are a bonus. I am so very grateful that I found Dr. Sherman!
You are right, Botox would be ideal for this problem. Fat transfer to this area mightbe too evident, since the skin is very thin.
Gabriella:It sounds like you might be an ideal candidate for a mastopexy (uplift). With 34D breast, the idea of putting in an implant would be unnecessary. You simply need to adjust and elevate the envelope of the breast to make it appear more youthful and I'm proper position
As noted by the responses of other doctors below, there is a difference of managementof this problem. If you were not going away, I would adjust the pocket several weeks after surgery, before the capsule forms. Having an operation and jumping on the plane shortly after does not make sense.
It certainly appears that you have pixie earlobes . This is caused by attaching the earlobe under tension. I would wait a bit before revision. Yoour surgeon would fix this under local anesthesia.
Thank you for your photograph. I can understand why you would like this fixed. You havent noted what your weight loss goal might be. If you have reached this plateau, and you are a good surgical patient (BMI less that 30) you might do well. Be prepare3ed if a significant amount of weight is lost after the procedure, you might need a revision.
