How can I fix pointy ears after SMAS plication facelift? (Photo)

A few months ago I had a SMAS plication face lift. After surgery I noticed that my ears were pushed forward. Mainly the tips of my ears. I now feel that I need ear pinning surgery. I discussed my concern with the surgeon who laughed it off saying my ears look normal and I don’t need ear pinning surgery. I presume the behind ear stitches pushed the ear tips forward. Is this a normal complication of a FL and how can this be fixed? I haven’t seen any reviews about this issue.

A face lift can alter the appearance of the ears. The most frequent event is the "smeared ear" where the earlobe is somewhat attached to the face. This can be separated under local anesthesia. What you have there appears to be pull anteriorly right at your ear-face junction and pulling it forward. You would benefit from an otoplasty to correct this. It would be helpful to see before photographs to compare.
