I’m a 25 year old woman who underwent breast augmentation (435 smooth high profile) 6 months ago and my left breast seems to be off centre, as in, the nipple and underlying breast tissue is not lying on the centre of the implant. I’m trying to be chill about it and not worry so much but it does seem to stick out like a saw thumb and makes me anxious about dating.
Answer: Revision of augmentation Yo will need a revision surgery to correct your problem. It appears the original dissection of your breast pockets were not done laterally enough. This should be relatively easy to correct. Also ask your surgeon about trying to elevate your incisions a little while they are revising . You may need to consult with a second surgeon if your first surgeon was not able to diagnose your problem. Good luck.

Answer: Is my nipple too far out? 6 months post-op breast augmentation This may well reflect a pre-op difference. If you have pre-op photos you can do the comparison. The focus of a BA is usually to optimise cleavage and fullness, not move the nipple medially. There may well have been a tradeoff here if your nipples (especially the left) were relatively laterally positioned.

Answer: Implants You did not post your before photos, but I suspect your breasts still looked similar, just smaller. The base of your breast is not moved with an augmentation. However, I would discuss this with your surgeon since your medial pocket could be tightened and your lateral pocket opened more if needed. This would give a wider space between your breasts.

Answer: Position of nipples following #breastimplants #breastaugmentation Generally, it is difficult to address this as your breasts sit on the breast foot plate on the chest wall. Enlargements essentially change the shape and volume of the breast, with the breasts centralised over this foot plate. There are no photos of before, but I suspect that your nipples were lateral on your breasts to start with and the augmentation has made this more obvious. The risk of placing an implant close to the midline to enhance the cleavage area is that your nipple ends up being offset on the breast and will appear to be on the outside of your breast rather than in the centre. For optimal outcome, please consult a fully qualified plastic surgeon, who has specialist qualification in plastic surgery 'FRCS Plast' after having being trained adequately in the field of plastic surgery, is registered on the 'Specialist register for Plastic surgery' with the General Medical Council and has been considered competent enough to be a member of the 'BAPRAS' (British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons) and 'BAAPS' (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) at the least.

Answer: Is my nipple too far out? 6 months post-op breast augmentation. A number of options may be available to center your nipples more on the breast mound. Ideally, the implant could be moved more laterally or to the side. This would have the effect of moving the nipples inward or toward your sternum/breast bone. Without the benefit of preoperative photographs, it's hard to estimate the degree of change that could be achieved. There are women who naturally have nipples positioned to the sides and placing implants may not result in an appreciable change.

Answer: Implant Malposition Good afternoon, Your implant is placed too medially, which rotates your nipple outwards making it point off to the sides- that is likely a technical error in pocket creation. If you original surgeon cannot or will not correct it then seek an experienced revision surgeon.
