Botched surgery or uneven swelling? (Photo)

Question

Hi, I got a rhinoplasty on July 2023 (11 months ago) and still have uneven swelling with a hard tip. I am around 60kg and 20 years old. One side of my nose has a bump making it stick out more than the other side, also giving a slant to my nose and making the tip turn towards the other side. What should I do? Is this the cartilage or normal for swelling? Thank you!

Based on your photos, you appear to have a concavity along the right side wall of your nose. If this is what is leading to a reverse c-shaped nasal appearance, depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections maybe considered for providing a straighter nasal appearance without further surgery. Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, although it is normal, to still be swollen, you do have some asymmetry in the tip and mid-vault. You may benefit from a revision to straighten your nose and perform nasal tip deprojection. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

There may be still some residual swelling but at 11 months postop usually as swelling has resolved.  You would want the nose to feel soft and supple prior to a revision.  In this case, you may have some tip asymmetry that could benefit from a revision under IV sedation to correct any remaining asymmetries.
