In Nov 2021 I had a breast lift (anchor) and augmentation (240cc, subglandulsr mentor memory gel xtra moderate plus profile) My inframammory folds are uneven (not sure if a result of the incisions for the uplift) so can these be rectified? Can I get larger implants after an uplift (a reaugmentation?) I loved the size of the but after the swelling subsided i can’t help but feel I should have asked for bigger. I’m 4ft 10, fluctuate between 48 - 50kg & 28” under bust
Answer: Implants can be changed but you need to be careful Thank you for your question and the photos. It's hard to tell the degree of fold asymmetry from the picture, but the higher fold can lead to a higher implant. You would only address if it was very pronounced. Most of the time, this was present preoperatively. With your small frame, you have to be careful about using a larger implant. As implants go up in size they get heavier and they get wider/taller. I don't particularly like the subglandular space, and larger implants would put you at higher risk of symmastia and lateral displacement. I'd discuss with your surgeon and get their thoughts. Best of Luck!

Answer: IMF uneven typically normal Based off your current photos (a baseline preop photo would definitely help here) - but usually you have uneven IMFs to start (at preop) - a surgeon can adjust IMFs to try to match if there's a discrepancy enough that's worth the other possible risks of trying to fix it. Because we don't have a preop baseline photo, it's hard to assess if this the result of technique or your anatomy. And yes you can up size implants and possibly even ask your surgeon to retighten the pocket of your implant and skin envelope at that time as well. (Maybe even address the uneven IMFs and see if it's worth the risks.)

Answer: Uneven positioning of breast after Augmentation and Lift Hi, I'm assuming the picture on the left is an early post-op photo. It does look like the right breast implant is sitting higher than the left. This can be from a couple of problems. Though it can be due to scarring of the right breast lift, it more commonly happens because of the left breast pocket or capsule changes. Capsular contracture can develop and cause the implant to rise on the chest wall causing a similar asymmetry. Visit with your surgeon so they can examine you and determine if this is due to capsular contracture. This can be corrected by removing and replacing the implant and excising the diseased capsule. This would be a good time to increase the size of the implants as you are wanting. Good luck!

Answer: Capsular contracture Thanks for your question! I think you may have a capsular contracture distorting that one side. I would suggest an appointment with your PS. Regarding going bigger, you have fairly tight cleavage so maybe you could go with a higher profile implant, but I don't think too much wider is a smart choice. Good luck!

Answer: Breast revision It is difficult to tell the exact cause of the IMF difference from one photo - however, yes, typically this asymmetry can be corrected as well as a larger size implant placed simultaneously. The exact recommended procedure could be determined following a consultation, which could also be done virtually.

Answer: New surgery ? concerns: volume, inframammarian fold asymmetry if you want to correct these problems, may be a new surgery is needed. for bigger size implant over muscle can be cause sagging conclusion, upper pole fullness will be reduced. changing the implant pocket to under the muscle will reduce this complication. if you have an IMF asymmetry this will be balanced with revision surgery
