Hello, My surgeon suggested that 375cc will give the results I was after which is a big C/small D. I am 5'6 inches and 156lb. I initially started as a 34a (however there was still always space in my bra). Do you think this is a good size for the results I'm after? Thank you
Answer: Size I would suggest going back to your surgeon and ask to try on that size, plus a few other sizes, so you can see what it will look like. Typically, 375 should make you a full C-small D depending upon the bra selected.

Answer: Implant size vs cup size I need photos of your breasts (frontal, oblique and lateral) to estimate the size implant necessary to achieve your goals. Best of luck with your operation!

Answer: Implant sizing Selecting the correct implant for you is a detailed process. In addition to determining volume you have to consider type, shape and style. Your board certified plastic surgeon is your personal expert. After discussing your surgical goals, measurements will be taken of your breasts. This information will be combined to help recommend the right implant for you. I encourage you to return to your surgeon to discuss your concerns. Often times there are sample implants you can "try on" to help you get a feel for how you may look after surgery. The implant volume you are considering should get you around your goal bra cup size.

Answer: Implant volume and cup size At size 34, each 100 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. 375 cc implants would take you up 4 cup sizes to a DD. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Implant size Dear voka2714, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
