I am 163cm and 48 kgs. 31 years old with no children. I have a breast augmentation scheduled for 21st July 2022. I am happy with my choice of surgeon. I want to achieve a very natural look, I would like to have more cleavage and some more volume in the top of my breast. I am having the implants inserted in the breast crease using dual plane method, they will be round implants. I am currently trying to decide between 200cc or 220cc implants. Will 20cc make a noticeable difference either way?

Answer: Implant selection The difference between the two implant sizes you are considering is less than a tablespoon of volume. When in the body the difference will not be visually noticeable, however one may fit the space a little better. Speak with your surgeon about which is recommended for you based on your measurement and surgical goals.

Answer: Mini lift with small implants There will be very little difference between 200 cc and 220 cc. However, I would not recommend a dual plane technique. Dual plane technique cuts the inferior portion of the muscle which results in the implants extruding inferior and laterally. The best technique would be a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
