I'm waiting on my pre op appointment but I'm not so sure I like the spacing in between the breasts and was wondering if there was a way to decrease that spacing and could give a more natural result? The surgeon recommended round moderate plus breast implants partially under the muscle but I want a more rounder appearance but to still look like "me" and less spacing in between breasts
Answer: Sub-glandular (on top of the muscle) breast augmentation Since you have nice size breasts, placement of implant on top of the muscle would create few benefits; shorter and less painful recovery as well as smaller distance between breasts which is what you want. Placement of the implant underneath the muscle is limiting how close we can place implants based on the insertion of the muscle to the sternal bone. In person consultation with board certified plastic surgeon familiar with this procedure may help. Good luck.

Answer: Spacing Some spacing can be decreased by choosing a lower profile, but some spacing cannot be changed because of your anatomy. Let your surgeon guide you to be best implant for you.

Answer: Is there a way to minimize spacing between the center of the chest for a more natural result? Hello, And thank you for the question. In patients who have wide sternum/rib cage, placing the implant under the muscle may not achieve full cleavage in the middle because the rib cage will limit how far towards the middle the surgeon can place the implant, since the muscle attaches to the sternum. I would seek an in-person evaluation by the Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results. I hope this helps.Best regards, Dr. Karanetz Dr. Irena KaranetzBreast Fellowship-TrainedBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Cleavage is more about what your clothes can do rather than the surgery The good news is that the implants give you more volume a fact which will make it easier to get cleavage in clothes. Answer: Lower profile Thanks for your question! The best chance at minimizing the space between the breasts is going with a wider implant. A moderate or low plus profile might be an option for you; however, understand that your body has some physical limitations with cleavage. Good luck!

Answer: Cleavage From your photos the moderate plus implants are a good choice. They have a bit wider of a base compared to high profile implants so that should give you the impression of more cleavage. I encourage you to speak to your surgeon about your goals for surgery.
