I am 164 cm (5' 4.6") tall, breast width around 12.5 cm (4.9) to 13 cm (5.1") nipple to "edge" of breast length is 8 cm (3.2"),nipple to collar bone length is17 cm (6.7") I wanted to go with 500 ml, but 3 surgeons rejected me and have told me they would give me max 400. But 1 surgeon said I should go with 600, because 500 would be too small for me according to the pictures I showed him. Why do other doctors think 600 is not possible? Natural breast volume 100ml
Answer: Implant selection Implant selection is a complex and highly individualized process. A 600cc implant on one patient may look completely different on another patient. I encourage you to ask questions when visiting with surgeons so you are comfortable and confident with your choice of surgeon and implant.

Answer: Is 600 cc too big? Hello, Thank you for the question. Implant size discussion and implant selection is one of the most important steps during your consultation with plastic surgeon. The decision-making process depends on patient’s desires, as well as breast and soft tissue dimensions. It is difficult to tell without seeing your photos, but 600cc size implant is considered to be large and does not fit everyone's chest wall dimensions. I would encourage you to seek a consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to further discuss your options, specific techniques, concerns and expectations. I hope this helps.Best regards, Dr. Karanetz Dr. Irena KaranetzBreast Fellowship-TrainedBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Implants The 600 cc size if too large for your frame and tissue. Please do not choose such implant because it will stretch and thin your tissue, be too heavy on your neck and shoulders, and sag over time. Yes, it probably can be crammed inside your tissue. But, your breasts will look like round hard balls--not pretty. The 400 cc size will be large, but you probably can accommodate that size.

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Answer: Implant size Dear Marelica, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
