Nose piercing would not affect the surgery. However, you need to removed the piercing at the time of the surgery and you can put it back after your nose heals from surgery.

Piercings do not preclude you from getting nasal surgery, but you may. have to get them re-pierced after surgery. So it may be best to wait.

If you had piercings done in advance, it likely would not lead to a problem. We have seen cases, however, where piercings are placed directly into the tip cartilage and sometimes this can cause a small challenge interoperatively. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph

Rhinoplasty and nasal piercings: I would definitely wait until after the surgery to get any nasal piercings. The piercings would have to be removed prior to the surgery anyway. I have in my career seen cases where nasal piercings have caused inflammation and atrophy of the nasal tip Cartilage, which resulted in distortion and asymmetry requiring grafting. you might want to consider that before having any nasal piercings.
