Are there any steps I should take prior to rhinoplasty to increase the healing etc. What about arnica (dosage, frequency etc). Any other supplements or medication that is helpful?? Many thanks

Answer: Healing, bruising and swelling after rhinoplasty may vary. We use Arnica for all of our rhinoplasty patients, but there is no scientific data to support that it truly works. It can't hurt. Some patients come for a reveal and have minimal bruising, and some patients look like they were in the ring with Rocky. All bruising and swelling fades, and the recovery is largely painless regardless of the bruising. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Since rhinoplasty is an elective surgery all health issues needs to be resolved, no smoking at least 6 months before the surgery, immune-enhancing nutrition and optimizing the skins present condition could be useful in terms of healing process.
