folds that are very visible now. I always had them to a certain degree especially on my left side. I’m 39 now. Would nasolabial fold filler improve my look? I’d also like to add a little volume to my lips that have been lost over time. What are your thoughts? Does plastic surgeon specialize in this. Facial plastic surgeon? Thank you!!
Answer: HA Filler "Liquid Facelift" Can Create Heart-Shaped Face & Decrease Nasolabial Folds From the photos provided, there appears to be significant volume deficit in the cheek regions, which accounts for the prominence of the nasolabial smile lines, as well as the development of the marionette lines at the corners of the mouth. Quite likely, the use of a robust HA filler to the cheeks to address the volumetric deficit would not only contour a more oval, heart-shaped face, but would diminish the smile lines (likely without even the need to directly inject them) and may similarly improve the downturned angles of the mouth (also without much need for direct treatment). As to which kind of physician to consult for treatment, bear in mind that nearly 95% of all nonsurgical rejuvenation techniques, such as Botox and fillers, were developed by cosmetic dermatologists who later taught them to other core specialties, such as general, facial and ophthalmic plastic surgeons. I personally have routinely been performing filler facelifts for well over twenty years. So, these days you have your choice. Just be sure to vet your doctor well and ask to see his/her personal before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.

Answer: What you should know about dermal fillers Thank you for submitting your question and photos. Dermal fillers are an ideal treatment for reducing nasolabial folds and adding volume to the lips. These hyaluronic acid formulas can be administered to restore volume to specific areas of the face to create a smooth, supple, and youthful appearance. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced expert injector. They will be able to discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with you to help you decide on the best treatment option.

Answer: Filler in NLF and cheeks You would benefit from HA filler in both the cheeks and the NLF in order to enhance the mid face area. I would suggest HA fillers and some Radiesse. Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Nasolabial Folds Instead of just putting filler into the nasolabial fold, I would start with augmentation of your cheek. You appear to have some midfacial volume loss. Supporting this can help balance the face and soften the nasolabial folds at the same time. Certainly lip filler can be done at the same setting. I wish you the best!

Answer: Laugh Lines / Nasolabial Folds - Fillers + Sculptra, Lasers like Fraxel/Clear + Brilliant, Radiofrequency, Peels, Skin Care I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion (J Plasma), thread lifting, and peels to get the most conservative, natural look. I suggest seeing a facial sculpting expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Fillers From your photos it appears you are a good candidate for dermal fillers. The treatment should help soften the appearance of the nasolabial folds. I encourage you to consider adding a bit to the cheeks as well to enhance facial contours. Seek treatment from an experienced injector.
