I don't want too short a philtrum as I'm 63, and I think that might look odd. Also, I currently use Botox in the DAO muscle because my mouth turns down substantially without it and I look super sad and angry. I do not have tooth show anymore when mouth is at rest .

Answer: Lip lift Yes, you're an excellent candidate for a lip lift with your facelift. Your surgeon can evaluate your philtral length to determine how to best balance things. Typically 4-6mm of skin is removed during this procedure.

Answer: Lip lift You are an excellent candidate for a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. You may not want to do this at the same time as the face lift. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
