Is there really a difference between the settings/protocol used on the abs vs glutes? I know protocol 2 is supposed to conserve all the fat and only burn muscle but does it make a big difference? I think my doctor has been using protocol 1 on my glutes instead of protocol 2 and I'm wondering if it will make my butt flatter

I have not heard of any problems with gross fat loss on the buttocks, nor have we seen any problems with flattening of the butt from using Protocol 1. With that said, you are correct that Protocol 2 is used in those patients who wish to preserve as much fat as possible during their Emsculpt sessions.
