Does fat transfer to hips really last?

Question

I was wondering does fat transfer to hips really last. I heard that there isn't really any muscle in your hips. So the fat can't survive there because it gets no blood flow. So is it better to just get a doctor who can give you illusion of hips.

How well fat grafting to the hips last depends on how much subcutaneous tissue exists between the skin and the underlying muscle fascia. This can be partially detected by how tight or loose the overlying hip skin is. The more subcutaneous fat that is present, the better fat has a place to get nourished and survive.

Yes fat transfer lasts 3 months post procedure all fat that did not survive the transfer is resorbed and you are left with the surviving fat. In my hands I find approximately 70% of the fat that is TRANSFERED survives the transfer and remains, 30% resorbs. Fat can be TRANSFERED almost anywhere there is a vascular bed for the fat to survive.
