Does fat transfer to hips really last?

I was wondering does fat transfer to hips really last. I heard that there isn't really any muscle in your hips. So the fat can't survive there because it gets no blood flow. So is it better to just get a doctor who can give you illusion of hips.

Thank you for your question.  Very roughly, 1,000 grams or 1,000 cc's weighs approximately 2.2 lbs.  While not exact this a  reasonable approximation. If 2300 cc's of fat was transferred that translates to approximately 5 lbs of fat.   After body contouring...

It looks like you would have plenty of fat for a fat transfer.  It is the rare person who has no fat to harvest - usually elite athletes, or chronic HIV patients.  Your surgeon is recommending what they like to do.
