How much swelling will come down from my Brazilian butt lift? Also how much time will it take? I am shocked at how big my butt is and I am just hoping it will go down some. It's only day 2 post op.
Answer: Swelling after BBL Dear Patient: the most dramatic reduction in swelling happens during the first month. The final result we usually see at six months post op. The fat that stays at the 6month mark usually stays forever, giving you a more lifted fuller buttocks. Hope this helps:)

Answer: When will BBL swelling go down? Thank you for your question. At 2 days postop the swelling is going to be significant. I would not expect things to really settle until at least three months. Keep in close contact with your plastic surgeon and follow his or her advice.Best of luck!

Answer: BBL Swelling and Size When only a few days out from BBL, you will look quite a bit larger than your permanent result. First there is swelling, since after significant surgery your tissues have inflammation and extra fluid present. Second, there is the fat itself and the question of long term fat retention. We don't know exactly how much fat remains long term (and this varies from person to person), but we do know it is not 100%. You will undoubtedly have some absorption of fat as well, meaning some of that fat will go away. Give it 2-3 months for things to get closer to your new size.
