Do I need a second round of lipo to get rid of fibrosis or will exercise help? (Photos)

Believe it or not, abdominal contour irregularities following liposuction typically get worse not better with more liposuction. Although exercise and weight loss late minimize the high points by reducing those intervening pockets of fat, believe it or not, fat transfer back in to the abdomen is usually the better option in to fill in the low points. Fat transfer to dents along with scar therapy would likely improve the current results. If the lumps and bumps are areas of excess fat,  dilute steroid injections could possibly be used to cause fat atrophy. They might also benefit by spot liposuction reduction. If the problem is that the lumps and bumps are normal and the areas between them are deficient, then fat injection grafting is the treatment of choice.
Consult with a board certified PS for an evaluation and discussion of your options.

I would have to examine you but it appears that this is a contour irregularity after liposuction.  This happens often when areas the undergo liposuction are not feathered appropriately. The good news is that it can be fixed and I have done so with good results before. 
While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result.I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result.

Secondary liposuction using either laser assisted or ultrasound assisted techniques might help.  The laser or ultrasound would help break up scar tissue.  Post procedure it is necessary to wear compression for several weeks and consider doing a series of post liposuction Endermologie treatments to smooth out the skin.

Thank you for your question.  Unfortunately  exercise alone will not get rid of the waves and bumps in your abdomen.  You would need to get revisional lipo to smooth things out.  It is not uncommon for revision to be done after liposuction.  Check with your plastic surgeon for more information.

unfortunately it’s going to be very difficult and may not be possible to create an even contour from your first liposuction procedure.it’s hard enough to maintain a smooth even contour when starting with one. Starting with a lumpy contour and making it smooth is almost impossible.Avoid providers offering to break up scar tissue using energy devices like VASER.This can definitely be made worse with further Liposuction. Usually there’s room for some improvements but it depends on each individual patient. Patients who were over treated and treated in an uneven fashion tend to be the most difficult to correct.Unfortunately your provider didn’t do the Liposuction part as nicely as it could have been.It’s hard to recommend having a revision or not. For sure it should not be done by anyone other than someone who has years of experience with thousands of cases under their belt and a proven track record of high quality Liposuction.You can always having a few in person consultations. Be careful with providers who are overly optimistic in regards to saying this is easy to fix.Exercise will not change your fat distribution and will not even out your lumpy abdomen.Your skin contour is a direct reflection of how the liposuction was done.
