I wondered if seeing the dentist for a cleaning and possible x-rays would create an issue due to the stretching of the jaw and holding the mouth open for a long period. I'd hate to do anything to compromise the results. Thank you for your help. :-)

I am not sure exactly what was done under your neck but suffice to say that you are in the early phases of healing and things can change over time. I don't have a specific reason for why the hardness has suddenly appeared but keep your follow ups with your surgeon and go from there.
Fullness of lower face and treatment? I would need to see you in person since the treatment varies widely. It depends on age and exactly what is causing the fullness etc. Otherwise I would just be guessing.
