Dear patient, Let me start by saying that there are 2 types of Clear and Brilliant lasers. They have slightly different wavelengths and function slightly differently. The Permea version is safer in patients with darker skin and is better suited for Melasma and problems with pigmentation. The original Clear and brilliant laser is good for fine lines and pores but does not improve deeper lines and acne scars. It is simply too light for that. Downtime on the Permea is only one day and the the original Clear and brilliant (depending on settings used) needs 2-3 days of downtime. You need to look for a fractional Co2 laser like the Mixto for acne scarring.I hope I was able to answer your questions. Yours, Dr R.
Microfractional laser treatments can benefit skin quality and resiliency through collagen stimulatory effects. In our office, we use combination platforms for Clear and Brilliant added to PRP, fractional RF, and filler placement in order to enhance the skin. We use Clear and Brilliant laser to improve sun spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, atrophic skin, and skin wrinkles; in addition to scars. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
Yes, Clear + Brilliant is good for this. For facial rejuvenation I would consider a combination approach:1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel, Viva, Co2/Erbium4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tighteningBest, Dr. Emer.
The Clear and Brilliant laser is a mild laser treatment that can improve skin texture, tone and pores. For improvement of extensive sun damage and acne scars, a more aggressive laser such as the Fraxel is more effective.
Clear+Brilliant is a fractionated resurfacing laser, which improves pore size, pigmentation, and texture of the skin. It can be performed on almost any part of the body, but most commonly we treat the face, neck, décolletage, and hands. Most patients experience minimal downtime and can return normal activities in a few days. Multiple treatments are typically recommended for the best result.
Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser treatment that helps to deal with and prevent the early signs of aging. Clear + Brilliant does not penetrate as deep as some lasers (like Fraxel) and works primarily on the upper layers of skin, replacing damaged skin with healthier, younger looking skin. This makes Clear + Brilliant a great option for maintaining a youthful appearance. For reversing heavy sun damage, acne scars and hyperpigmentation you may want to find a laser able to penetrate the deeper layers of skin in order to have a more effective treatment. Results from Clear + Brilliant can last for months depending on your age, skin condition and how well you protect the treated skin. That being said, should you have any questions about treatments, there is no substitute for an in-person consultation with a certified medical professional to discuss your skin care goals and the best treatment options to help you achieve them.
Clear + Brilliant is gentle laser treatment similar to but lighter then Fraxel and is great for maintaining healthy looking skin. It is not the ideal treatment for a patient with significant sun damage or acne scars for which I would recommend Fraxel (sun damage, acne scars) or microneedling (scars alone). Clear + Brilliant Permea is helps with pigmentation particularly when combined with good at home skincare. IPL works well for sundamage and pigmentation as well.
This is my favorite laser for women in their 30s that are just showing signs of aging and want to slow down the aging process. Its a very gentle laser, that rejuvenates the skin and is often combined with high-quality topical to increase their absorption. Treatments are quick and there is no downtime. For the indications you describe I would recommend a stronger laser such as Smartxide or Fraxel. These require more downtime as they are more aggressive but you'll only need 1-2 treatments annually.
I would recommend that Clear + Brilliant be combined with a topical retinoid to lessen the pigmentation and help reverse the textural problems. You will need a series of Clear + Brilliant treatments and in between, the retinoid will be working along with the laser to boost its benefits. You should also be using a sunblock each day.
