I spend so much time in the car and then walking people around in sun etc. will I be further damaging my skin if I get clear and brillant with my work schedule?

Sun exposure immediately following a laser treatment like Clear + Brilliant can affect the outcome of your procedure and lead to possible complications. I recommend keeping your skin out of the sun as much as possible for the first two weeks. When you are in the car or outdoors, make sure you wear sunscreen and preferably a broad-brimmed hat to protect your skin from damage.

I recommend following up with your cosmetic dermatologist about recommendations for sun protection that you can use. Sun exposure can cause hyperpigmentation, but with limited exposure and adequate protection (sunscreen, hat, etc.), this will help reduce your risk. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Excessive sun exposure following Clear + Brilliant can decrease the effects and effectiveness of your treatment.  It is best to avoid too much sun exposure for at least a week following a treatment. Based your description, if you are careful to always wear sunscreen, protective clothing, and do your best to avoid sun exposure as much as possible you should be fine to resume work after some initial healing.

Clear + Brilliant laser treatment is a great way to keep skin young looking.  You should be particularly careful in the sun for the first 2 weeks but always use sunscreen and a broad-rimmed hat.
