I just got my breasts done 6 days ago, and I LOVE them. I am worried about them dropping after the swelling goes down. By dropping I mean sagging. I don't mind them going down in size. What should I expect in the next couple months and when will the swelling go down?
Answer: Breast Lift and Reduction Thank you for your inquiry. As you know, you are still very early in the healing process and your final results are not evident yet. It’s hard to determine how much swelling you have and if there will be a minimal or significant change in the breast shape after more time. It’s best to be patient and follow your surgeon’s instructions. If after a few months you are unhappy with the results or they have changed more than you expected, you can speak to your surgeon about a revision, but again, give it time.I hope that helps.

Answer: Results Your swelling will continue to go down over the next few months. Typically, the 6 month mark is a good time to assess your final results. You can expect the breasts to drop a bit, but it isn't anything that typically bothers patients. My best,Dr. Sheila Nazarian@drsheilanazarian on Instagram

Answer: The Longevity of Breast Surgery Results Over time, gravity will continue to have an effect and the breast skin will tend to stretch. The degree of stretching and #sagging varies between women: generally, women with smaller breasts experience less recurring sagging. Genetics, aging, pregnancies, and changes in weight are also factors to consider since your #BreastLift. If sagging does occur, further excision of the skin on an outpatient basis can be used to correct the problem. Heavy and large breasts may lead to recurrent sagging and may require the removal of a small amount of breast tissue to achieve an optimal shape and size. Some patients will have a better shape to their breast such as increased superior fullness if an implant or a fat transfer is applied during their #mastopexy. One key to a satisfying result of your #BreastLift is realistic #expectations. Call and visit your Plastic Surgeon to discuss your concerns about the #duration of results.

Answer: Breast lift swelling. Thanks for your question. I am glad that you are happy with your results. At 6 days, you still likely have a moderate amount of swelling, which will dissipate over the coming weeks. Your breast will likely settle some as time goes on. The amount of settling has largely to do with your intrinsic breast and skin quality. Most patients however are very pleased with their long term outcome. Best Regards

Answer: Breast swelling Thank you for asking. Breast fullness after surgery is normal. Most of this dissipates over then first few weeks but a small amount resolves even after that. By several months the fullness should be fully settled. Talk with your PS who knows your case. Best wishes!
