My recommendation is to schedule an in-office consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who can determine the areas of your body where fat can be harvested for transfer to your buttocks.  Also look at the before and after photos on the PS's web site and the number of BBLs he/she has performed. Do not make your decision of which PS to use based upon cost alone.

The Brazilian butt lift is a form of  fat  transplantation, where fat is removed from unwanted body areas and placed in and around your buttocks to improve the shape and to increase the size. However it is not just about size but more importantly, it is about the shape of the buttocks..Buttocks come in all shapes and sizes and so do surgeons. You should look for surgeons who have performed this procedure over 1000 times. You should also look for a surgeon who has a very good eye for Buttock aesthetics. Simply pumping a lot of thought into the Buttock will not give you a good result. It is about shaping. Some surgeons use different techniques from other surgeons. This procedure can take anywhere between one hour and six hours depending on the surgeon and on the technique..Finally, the last variable is the cost. Hello and thank you for the question. The Brazilian butt lift has become one of the most popular procedures today. The procedure is a combination of liposuction and fat transfer. The surgery is done under full anesthesia, and takes about 2+ hours to complete. Most patients will need a week off of work and about 1-2 months before you resume exercise. 

The success depends both you and the plastic surgeon. Your underlying health, available fat, skin tightness and elasticity, and the size / shape of your buttocks will affect the quality of the outcome. The plastic surgeon's skills, experience and judgement in this procedure will also be key factors in the quality of your outcome. Remember that some of the fat that is transferred does not survive. Typically about 70% of the fat lasts long term.

In my practice, the typical brazilian butt lift cost average is $7000-10,000 depending on how many areas of liposuction are performed. If the skin on your abdomen is loose or hangs, you might need a tummy tuck as well. That would be an additional fee. As always it is best to be healthy, no smoking, and to make sure any health care concerns you have are managed by your primary care doctor.

There are several factors that can affect the cost of this procedure: location, surgeon, and how many areas you wish to harvest fat from (liposuction). When I perform a BBL, I will evaluate the patient’s body to make sure that they are a good candidate for the Brazilian butt lift. It will also be assessed as to which areas will be liposuctioned. Depending on the amount of fat necessary to fill the buttocks area, multiple donor sites on the body may be considered. After liposuction has been performed, a closed sterile system is used which ensures the fat tissue is never exposed to the air. This keeps it safe and purified for reinjection into the buttocks. Our plastic surgery office uses P188, a triple-wash antibiotic that sterilizes the tissue and separates the healthy fat from any tissue that may not survive the transfer process. I will then reinject the fat to make sure that the layering is done properly, effectively and that the results are smooth and shapely. I would do some research on plastic surgeons in your area and be sure to consult with the ones who are board certified in plastic surgery for optimal results.
