I am 6 weeks post op lipo/bbl and some inconsistencies over my hipbones. They are soft but firm lumps surrounded by very tight tissue or muscle. With massage and stretching the tight areas are softening up but the lumps remain. My ps is across the country and says it's fine when I sent pics but I'm worried. I feel pretty alone in this. Thank you so much in advance, Eli
Answer: 6 weeks post op, some advices: Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.At this point (6 weeks post-po) the swelling is normal. To reduce it, I recommend you perform daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the abdomen and wear a postoperative girdle from thigh to the breasts.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Concerned over lumps on the hips, 6 eeeks post lipo/BBL Thank you for your question and photos. I disagree with the other posts in that some irregularities do improve over time, but in your case, as the swelling resolves, they will be more visible. You have residual fat on the sides, lower rib cage, waist and hip just over the pelvic rim. You have unnatural grooves in the upper abdomen and the semilunar lines do not follow the true lateral recurs sbdominis border. The sculpting you had is suboptimal. Wait about 6 months, to reach your final result, then discuss with your surgeon the possibility of further refinements. It is always more difficult to do corrective surgery than a good outcome first time. Can't address the BBL, since there are no photos posted. Good luck with your healing.

Answer: Uneven contour after liposuction Thank you for your question. You are very early in the healing process from liposuction. It is not uncommon to feel lumpy and tight after the surgery as you are healing. This may be worse on some days than others. As you healing from liposuction you can get some pockets of fluid under the skin that make you feel lumpy. One way to help with this is lymphatic massage, it helps the body to drain this fluid out. It can take the body 3-4 months after liposuction before you start to see your final results, so stay patient, and good luck with healing.

Answer: Concerned about lumps over hips, 6 weeks post lipo/bbl. (photos) Too early to judge on the final result. You are still at the healing stage. The area in your lower back will be still bruised and swollen and this will take 8-12 weeks to settle. Wear your garment and keep your follow up with your surgeon. You have to give your body at least 12 weeks to start seeing results and final results can take 3-6 months depending the way your body healsBest of luck!!
