Blotchy skin after Lipo?? 1 yr post op. (photos)

I had lipo on my abdomen about a year ago and I've noticed discoloration/white patches on my stomach. What could this be??

With hi definition procedures you see results immediately.  you will however get swelling and bruising that can last for weeks to months.  I suggest you speak to your physician if you are concerned but at this point you should be focusing on compression, massage, hyperbaric oxygen and...

It's unclear from your description specifically what you don't like. The vagina itself can be tightened called a vaginoplasty. A large Mons can be treated by liposuction easily with local anesthesia only. The labia can also be adjusted in size in volume.

About 75% of the swelling should be gone by 6 to 8 weeks after liposion. The remaining25% may take as long as six months.Resolution of swelling of the knees after liposuction.

Conventional liposuction should not create discoloration of the skin. With the adjunctive use of a laser or ultrasound the skin is thermally treated which can result in hyperpigmentation. This may take a long time to totally resolve.

Thank you for your question and photographs and I am sorry to hear about your issues after surgery.  Compression garments are useful after liposuction procedures as they limit post-surgery swelling and pain.  Patients also appreciate the extra support that compression garments afford....

Yes you can get a more hi definition procedure and reshape the area again. I would suggest VASER hi def for a more contoured look.  Best, Dr. Emer.
