How long does swelling on the knee last after liposuction?

About 75% of the swelling should be gone by 6 to 8 weeks after liposion. The remaining25% may take as long as six months.Resolution of swelling of the knees after liposuction.

This area can swell for up to a year or more in some people but is usually gone in 3-6 months.  I suggest lyphatic massage, venus legacy treatments, and hyperbaric oxygen to help the healing process.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hello dear, thanks for post. Swelling from liposuction on the lower body takes longer to resolve than upper body surgery. Knee and calve/ankle liposuction can take the longest to recover from swelling, , because of gravity, the swelling will accumulate in the knees and last the longest here when you have liposuction of your thighs. Compression garments, leg elevation and avoidance of prolonged sitting or standing can help. Good luck :)
