Hi I had lower bleph 8 months ago I think my lower incision wound was stitched incorrectly and caused a skin bulge which wrinkle lines coming from the bunched scar into my under eye skin , is it likely that this will flatten . The scar is also quite bad
Answer: Recommend having a small revision done to even out the area Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Correction of lateral canthal scar after blepharoplasty It is impossible to see your problem clearly on these photos! Scars after bleparoplasty heal at least 1 year after surgery, so your scar may not still be quite mature? In any case, discussion with your surgeon about possible correction, would be the best way to proceed. Hope this helps.

Answer: Blepharoplasty It's possible that the skin bulge and wrinkles you are experiencing as a result of your lower blepharoplasty may improve over time, but it's also possible that they may not. Scar healing and tissue remodeling after surgery can take up to a year or more, so it's still possible that the scar and surrounding skin will flatten and smooth out as the healing process continues. However, if the scar is quite bad and there is significant skin bunching or wrinkling, it's possible that you may require additional treatment or revision surgery to achieve the desired result. It's important to schedule a follow-up appointment with your surgeon to discuss your concerns and options for treatment. Your surgeon may recommend non-surgical treatments, such as laser resurfacing or injectable fillers, to help smooth out the skin and improve the appearance of the scar, or they may recommend revision surgery to address the underlying issue. Best of luck !

Answer: Not long So your incision and approach look quite reasonable. Sadly the lower lid skin is the thinnest skin on the body and lower lid lift is unlikely to change this significantly. In the short term there's some swelling, but overall this skin is always likely to crease when you animate your face, and this may be part of the problem. We are so used to seeing wrinkle free faces that we imagine that SURGERY is another way to achieve that. I discuss some problems like this on my YouTube channel Adam goodwin surgery if you're interested. Hope that helps. Best wishes, Adam, Goodwin.
