Is this an infection after rhinoplasty?

I got rhinoplasty surgery a month and half ago. Last Wednesday my nose started feeling weird , I didn't think anything of it but that it was part of healing process, well it started getting red and swollen , I tried getting a appointment but there full and for some reason I couldn't get a hold of my doctor , this Wednesday I have a 6week post op my nose look swollen red tender Warm and little painful , is it infection. I tried to get in earlier but when I called I couldn't talk to doc for some reason

If her nose starts feeling warm, red, tender than it is possibly infected.  It is very important to obtain a medical opinion and most likely get treated with antibiotics.  The infection can cause long-term effects on the healing process as well.  Although it is uncommon to develop an infection 1-1/2 month after rhinoplasty, it is still possible.  It is very important not to touch the nose is you bare hands as that is one on the common sources of infection.RegardsDr. J

If your nose is red, tender, and swollen, it does sound like you  might have an infection. You will need to be seen in person to evaluate you properly. Go see your surgeon.
