Breast lift after internal bra - how long do I need to wait in between procedures?

Question

I had breast augmentation with internal bra/mesh but opted not to have a lift. My nipples are too low and I wish I opted to have a lift as well. How soon can I have breast lift surgery? Do I need to wait until the mesh absorbs or ok to do it sooner?

The internal mesh for your breast augmentation would be deep inside your breast around the implant. After approximately four weeks any mesh should have incorporated itself into your tissues. A breast lift is a skin only operation and therefore the incision does not go deep into the breast tissue, and therefore you could proceed with your breast lift at any time.   Best wishes.

Thank you for sharing your experience &mdash; it’s more common than you think to wish for a lift after augmentation, especially when the nipple position was borderline pre-op.The good news is: this situation can be corrected safely.
In your case, since you had an internal bra or mesh placed, it’s important to give your tissues enough time to heal, settle, and integrate with the mesh support structure. I generally recommend waiting at least 6 months after your augmentation before considering a breast lift. This allows the mesh to stabilize and your soft tissue to recover, which helps ensure safer and more predictable results.
A secondary lift can significantly improve nipple position and overall shape, especially if you’re now happy with your breast volume and simply want a perkier, more youthful look.
Once the healing window passes, a personalized surgical plan can be created to preserve the benefits of your internal mesh while achieving the lift you originally hoped for.

Generally, I would say the longer you wait the better. 
Time will allow your implants to settle in place before you have a second procedure.
If there is any issues with the implants that need to be addressed in the near future it can be done in conjunction with the breast lift.
 I would say six months is probably a fairly good amount of time.
Waiting longer might be slightly better.
If it bothers you and you’ll wanna move along, then you can probably do that sooner as well.
There are advantages and disadvantages for waiting versus moving forward.
