Hi , Thanks for your question. Yes, a superficial peel will work. 10% to 30% Lactic acid peels are used for dry skin. You can start using skin brightening creams which will take care of your pigmentations. Make sure you meet a board certified expert so that he/she will explain you in detail the post care of chemical peel and brightening products. Good luck.
Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
If he doesn't think you are beautiful now, a chemical peel is not going to make the difference. Why risk a disaster. Normally a mild peel would just not be an issue but getting married is always stressful because of everything you have to do. Don't add to your stress. I tell my patients no cosmetic services within 2 months of the wedding date. Sure we occasionally modify that a little bit. Botox can be done up to about a month before. Fillers should not be done within that 2 month time frame. While the chemical peel might be fine, what happens if you have a problem. You simply won't have time to recover. Don't let this treatment ruin your wedding.
Hi there. I would hold off on the chemical peel before your wedding, but after is fine as long as you stay out of the sun for at least 3 weeks and apply SPF every day (as you should be doing every day). Chemical peels are a great way to exfoliate the uppermost layers of the skin, but may cause large amounts of peeling for weeks after, depending on the % level of the peel and depending on the person- everyone reacts differently. Now depending on how mild or severe your discoloration is, I would recommend consulting with your Dermatologist to further assist which peel would be best suitable for you. I hope this information helps!Best, Dr. Khadavi
Hi! Congratulations, but 2 weeks before your wedding is too soon and not worth the risk. We recommend 6-8 weeks in between peels. You do not want to take the chance so close to your wedding date! Best of luck!
I would not recommend that you get a chemical peel so close to your wedding. Chemical peels are wonderful and can give you glowing skin. There are many peel options that can give minimal flaking/peeling or more extensive peeling. Everyone reacts differently to treatments. Wait until after your wedding to have this procedure perform. Having a peel 6-8 weeks before would have been reasonable. Now is not the time with your wedding around the corner.
A light chemical peel two weeks before your wedding will be fine and will brighten and smooth your skin. If you have dry, pigmented skin, I would recommend a 10% lactic or 20% glycolic peel, but nothing stronger. Stronger peels will produce better results, but you might not be completely healed in two weeks.Best wishes on your marriage!
