I follow Dr. B and struggle with Rosacea and aging skin. After years of using an RX for my Rosacea, I thought I would try Defenage since it also treats aging skin. So I gave it a try and after the first month I can honestly say that I was able to discontinue the topical Rx for my Rosacea!!! Plus, the condition of my skin is looking SOOOOOO much better. I have tried many other Cosmeceuticals in the past but, nothing compare to this one!!! Whew! Finally and Thank you for creating this product (line)!!!! Please never discontinue!!!This reviewer received a free product from DefenAge in exchange for writing the review. This review is based on personal experience of the reviewer with DefenAge's product. When it comes to one's appearance, you want the best! A doctor who keeps abreast of the latest innovations, one who is also a researcher and truly cares about the patient. Dr Baumann and staff is all that and more. You will never leave looking "over plumped" ... I always leave looking like a better version of me! Following the prescribed regimen has made a huge difference. It may not be the cheapest, but it truly is the best and most professional office! I love Dr.Baumann and her staff !
SO SO SO ECSTATIC!! I Cannot believe how amazing this machine works. I am a healthy individual, and have always made eating well and exercise a part of each day. With that being said no matter what I did I couldn't get rid of a bit of belly fat. So far I have had 2 treatments of the ultra shape power to my abdomen and couldn't be happier!!! I still have one more to go, but so far I am incredibly excited and happy about the results thus far. There is already a significant change, and my clothes feel like they are fitting quite as snug. Ali, one the estheticians did my procedure and made me feel very comfortable through out. She is amazing, and took very through before photos. I will post before and afters as soon as I have completed the treatment.
I was very pleased with my visit to Baumann Cosmetics. I had my appointment with Physician Assistant, Paula Purpera and she was the best. Extremely professional and I genuinely felt that she and her staff wanted me to look the best I could with what I was having done. I was given an evaluation of my skin and had a customized skin type solution just for me. I can already tell a difference with the skin care regimen that they offered. Great products! The office was beautiful and clean yet very comfortable. I will certainly go back for more Botox and lip fillers and will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thank you!
I had 2 procedures done and am very happy with the outcome of both. The first was a correction from another medical provider. I had too much filler injected in one of my nasolabial folds, running from my nose to the corner of my mouth. You could actually see the filler which looked like a round lump looking straight on. Paula, dissolves some of the filler in just the right places to make me balanced on both sides. I also had 2 vials of Juviderm in my lips that turned out great!! They look so natural and she was even able to give me the peaks I've always wanted. 5 stars!
I went to see Paula and wasn't sure what I needed. I was about to have my 43rd Bday & didn't want to look it. She assessed & strategically put fillers in a few different areas on my forehead & chin. It wasn't a lot, but where she put the made a HUGE difference. She was amazing. Most people I have gone to try to oversell or put in way too much. It was the perfect amount & I looked refreshed & more youthful. Since then when I tell anyone my age they are shocked. The guess is never over 35. Woohoo. Love you Paula. I will never go to anyone else again !!!!
I'm pretty lean and work out 6 times a week but as I've gotten older my face profile has become less defined - basically the area under the chin. I've read up a lot on Kybella and also spoken to my UK Derm who is waiting for the product to be available in Europe. I have to say reading the reviews on here made me quite nervous for the pain but more so the swelling aspect which people are reporting takes weeks and weeks to resolve at all. I had a consultation with a Dr in NY last week and decided that as I was heading to Miami for some sun I'd wait until the end of my trip to have the procedure. I had it done yesterday afternoon by a Dr who was involved in the clinical trials and was surprised - Zero pain, Zero burning! Yes there was a bit of swelling due to the solution being injected but I got back to my hotel and iced it fot a bit and felt completely fine. A few hours later I got on a flight from Miami to London (8hrs) and slept the whole way with no discomfort or additional swelling. Yes the area under my chin is a bit puffy and tender and I am aware of it at certain times but not all the time. Its fine from front on its just side profile that you can see the swelling. All in all fillers are far worse and botox injections are more uncomfortable at the time! I'm not sure why most people on here seem to freak out about the procedure and if you are considering having it I would just say find a Dr who is experienced in Kybella and not someone who has just started and all will be fine. All that remains for me is to see how it works over the next month before my next treatment... Updated on 29 Mar 2016: Swelling has really gone down this morning - Back at the gym. Still a little bit tender to touch and puffy but nothing to worry about Updated on 30 Mar 2016: Just home after a full day and having worked out properly this morning - hard cardio etc and feel totally fine... Added some more photos but generally feels a bit puffy bit no discomfort - feels a little numb to touch but thats kind of it. Think the swelling has reduced since day 1 but its only side profile thats annoying - from the front not very noticable. Think the Arnica patches the Dr gave me are also helping. Updated on 1 Apr 2016: End of day 4 now and swelling has more or less gone down and looking pretty normal again from side profile and front one. Still slightly senstive to touch and feels liquididy - waiting for everything to harden up which is when the doctor said I can start massaging the area. Glad I had the procedure and didn't only pay attention to everyone freaking out on here re pain and swelling. Updated on 6 Apr 2016: So one week on and still feel a bit numb in areas but its not bad at all and only notice when you touch the skin. I definitely think the skin under my jaw has gotten tighter - in terms of fat and swelling - I'm back to where I was originally so hopefully now the fat will start to slowly reduce. Updated on 16 Apr 2016: Now at the end of week 3 since my injections a Think definition is starting to kick in... Looking forward to getting to the 5-6 week mark so I can decide if another round is needed
Having tried different cosmetic procedures and fillers, this one is a real difference maker! Results are immediate and long lasting. It is affordable and well worth it! There is little to no discomfort with this procedure. There is no down time which is also a plus! Having read some negative reviews, I believe one must choose the correct provider who is experienced in this procedure.
No surgery! No downtime! I lost total of 6 inches in three weeks from one 45 minute procedure, how cool is that!
I entered a study so the treatment was free. My jawline and neck were the areas treated and I had it done in May, only once. I saw a slight improvement immediately after they finished. The reasearch team has been taking 3D pictures every month and you can really see a significant improvement now. I am 40 but I've been told many times that I look about 5-10 years younger (I barely qualified for the study), so perhaps the results have to do with already having good skin. Now the down side. It was VERY painful. However, to be fair, I refused the valium and percocet because I had little kids to take care of that afternoon and the Percocet makes me sick. I also had some loss of sensation of the affected area for about 6 weeks. I would definently do it again, pain and all. My jaw line and neck look like it did when I was in my late twenties. I can't do anything to my face while I am in the study, but I do plan to do the Ulthera on my forehead and lower cheeks. I love my doctor and her staff. They are very available for any questions and they treated me with the utmost care and respect.
A body peel using salicylic acid might help. Tinea versicolor is caused by a fungus called Malasezzia furfur that is found as normal flora on our skin. The fungus is usually treated by antifungal medications. The white patches that you observe are caused by a biofilm that the fungus produces when it is exposed to sweat. These patches will look more prominent with sun exposure so you need to apply sunscreen in sun-exposed areas. Peels may not be necessary as the white patches usually resolve after the fungus is treated. Otherwise, it will keep recurring. Make sure to be seen by a dermatologist to rule out other skin conditions that may look similar.
We performed the clinical trials that led to the FDA approval of Kybella, so we have been using it for almost five years. I recommend going to someone who has considerable understanding of the product and injects it every day. The most important thing is to get a consult to find out if you are a good candidate for this procedure.
It is important to remember that UltraShape is the most advanced form of fat removal on the market today. For decades we have been removing fat with various devices that remove fat using heat or cold. Those devices could cause burning, pain, blisters, numbness and other complications that are not seen with the newer UltraShape technology. This is because UltraShape uses mechanical means to break the fat instead of using cold or heat. In other words, it shakes the fat at a very high frequency, which bursts the fat cells. They release the fatty acids into the body and these are recycled into components of the body such as cell membranes and the protective skin barrier which prevents water loss from the skin. We have not seen any complications in our office except one patient who developed irritation from the tape used to hold the fat in place during the procedure. I admit it does sound too good to be true because there is no downtime and it works. However, for those of us who have been using these technologies for the last 5 years see it differently- I am saying, “Finally, something that really works!”
UltraShape is FDA approved in the U.S. for treatments on the abdomen, but it is often used off-label in other areas. In order to use it on the arms, you must be able to pinch at least an inch of fat.
For optimal results, it's best to wait no more than 4 weeks between each treatment. I suggest beginning the treatments when you return from vacation.
