I had a vitalize chemical peel. Does it matter how long I leave it on my face?

Hello,Thank you for your question. The vitalize peel is best left on for 6-8 hours. We even tell our patients to wash their face the next morning. However, there could be several reasons that it wasn't as strong this time. The application may have been less aggressive, and your skin may be improved. The vitalize peel provides long lasting results and repairs the skin cells. It is designed to work with damaged cells, so your skin may be improving and have less of a reaction. If you are concerned you didn't get a good treatment, discuss your result with your provider. Good luck!

I usually recommend patients not wash their face for 6 hours after a Vitalize Peel if possible. That being said, I don't think you will have any issues because you washed your face a few hours after the peel. The reduced peeling maybe because of the fact that your skin is in better condition after having 2 prior peels. Nothing to worry about.
