What's the best option for jowl reduction for a 41 year old?

If one has true jowling it should be corrected in a
surgical manner with a
Face/Necklift for facial rejuvenation with a “Lift
and Fill”type
technique. A “Lift and Fill” facelift “Fills” the central fat compartments and corrects the jowls by surgically “Lifting”the SMAS. This should be done in the hands of a Board

     Aging, unfortunately, is a constant process. Surgical procedures will typically be the "longest lasting" procedures, but are still not "permanent" solutions.  Non-surgical procedures can provide long-lasting results, but can often require more maintenance.    When deciding on the approach that will be most effective in your situation, it is important to sit down with a physician who will take time to understand your aging pattern as well as your goals.There is not a one size fits all approach to facial rejuvenation.      Even though a facelift will address your concern about jowling, in most cases, I find that my patients are happiest when they look refreshed and recapture a more youthful appearance. A thorough understanding of how much loss of volume, skin elasticity, and muscle tone has occurred over the years will help determine the best treatment, whether it's surgical, non-surgical, or a combination of both. 

Its difficult to tell where you are on the aging spectrum with that picture. However Generally as we age 3 things happen 1. the loss of subcutaneous volume and muscle sagging 2. loss of elasticity of the skin and 3. the texture of our skin changes. To address the skin laxity I use an extended smas lift, to address the volume loss, I use fat injections as well as repositioning and finally to assess any texture issues I use the C02 laser for fine line. By using all three modalities we can achieve a very natural and long lasting result. The best way to find out if you are a surgical candidate or a noninvasive candidate  for your jowls and overall appearance is to see a board certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps

I would recommend that you undergo a mini facelift as it does appear from your pictures that you have both volume loss and descent of your tissue (also around your eyes). In my opinion you would benefit the most from a facelift.  I recommend that you seek consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your options after an in-person evaluation. Good luck!

With the gathering of volume in the perioral region combined with redundant skin that is a good quality I think you'd be an excellent candidate for facelift. Fillers may be able to camouflage some of the problems. You'll need to decide what level of complexity works best for your particular problems.

A mini lift would correct this issue for you.  The procedure would undermine your skin in the are of the jowls to correct this issue fully.  You may consider a lower lid blepharoplasty and  fat grafting for volume restoration to your cheeks at the same time.
